The Los Angeles Body Dysmorphic Disorder & Body Image Clinic is the first mental health clinic on the West Coast of the United States dedicated primarily to the evaluation and treatment of body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and similar body image disturbances.

Our clinical staff specializes in the treatment of BDD, as well as other psychiatric disorders that frequently co-exist with BDD such as clinical depression, social anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and personality disorders. Our staff has extensive experience treating body dysmorphic disorder and has consulted and received referrals from around the United States and the world.

The Los Angeles Body Dysmorphic Disorder & Body Image Clinic was founded by Arie Winograd, LMFT. The concept behind the clinic was to bring together experts in the field of body image disturbance in order to improve the prognosis of patients who often present with severe, complicated, and chronic symptoms. Through having worked with hundreds of patients with body dysmorphic disorder and similar body image disturbances we understand that each patient is unique and presents with their own individual and complex histories which can not be amassed into a generic treatment plan. We approach treatment utilizing a multi-modal model and believe it is imperative to address each patient's past and current symptoms, character structure, and psychiatric components.
